Specialize your MPH in Epidemiology

Regis offers a concentration in Epidemiology for students interested in big picture solutions to public health. Epidemiologists are concerned with the surveillance and investigation of data trends in health and disease. They study the factors that contribute to the spread of diseases and work to find data-based solutions or impediments to their transmission.

Why Choose Epidemiology?

Do you have a passion for disease investigation and statistical analysis? Do you want to solve problems and study factors that contribute to the spread of disease? The Epidemiology concentration prepares you to use biostatistical research methods to uncover the patterns, causes and effects of disease, and solve issues to keep communities safe and healthy.

As an Epidemiologist, you could manage a team tasked to oversee a disease outbreak. In your role you would sketch out a plan to gather, compile, and analyze factors such as diet, living arrangements, hygiene habits, socialization, culture, and economics to understand how they contribute to the distribution of illness and disease in specific populations. For students interested in big picture solutions, the Epidemiology concentration is for you.
